Where Is Everything?

The new Legislative Web page does not represent a major change to the site — pretty much everything that ever was on the site is still here. However, the new page attempts to organize the information better, so as to make it easier to find.

Of course, for those of you who were familiar with the old page, nothing is easy to find anymore! Here is a very brief introduction:

Most of the links from the old home page can be found on the main Legislative Research Page, which is the first link under "Legislative Research" on the home page. This page will be where most experienced users will spend their time. It includes links to the complete Bill Tracking system, the legislative documents, etc, as well as direct links to the most commonly used features. This page also includes all prior session information.

There are now pages for the House, Senate, Council, and other departments in the Legislature, which can be accessed from the yellow menu bar across the top of the page. So, for example, to quickly see the members of the House, the House Rules, or other information relating to the House, look on the House page. The Senate page is similar. The Council page contains links to features of the site maintained by the Council, including the online statutes, the complete directory, legislative reports, etc.

The Joint Fiscal Office page is a completely new site, which the JFO deployed this fall. Use this page to find information about budgets, taxes, fiscal policy, etc.

To return to the home page, select "Home" from the yellow menu bar across the top of this page.
