Vermont's Historic State House

Statue of Ethan Allen Ethan Allen, a leader of the American Revolution, famous for the capture of Fort Ticonderoga "in the name of the Continental Congress and the Great Lord Jehovah!" This statue, carved in 1941 by Aristide Piccini of Barre, was modeled after an original by Larkin Mead.
