Vermont's Historic State House

The State House dome The statue of Agriculture atop the dome of the Vermont State House was carved of Ponderosa pine in 1938 by the then Sergeant-at-Arms, Dwight Dwinell, after the original statue by Larkin Mead. It stands 14 feet tall, and is considered a fine example of folk art.
