"Mr. Speaker:
I voted no. I believe we have been asked to vote on two separate issues; equity and access. I do not wish to deny the young women of this state access to the State House - yet I do feel there should be equity between Girls' and Boys' State."
Rep. Young of Orwell explained his vote as follows:
"Mr. Speaker:
I voted yes - this procedural method may be questioned but a program, either program that intends to teach the process of government with one-half the players absent, can never be a success.
