Whereas, this amazing victory was the result of the combined efforts of well‑trained and highly-conditioned young athletes who captured five of the six top individual point totals, and

Whereas, especially impressive was the performance of Essex 10th grader, Mary Krug, who won her second consecutive individual state championship by winning the vault, beam, bars and floor exercise events, and

Whereas, not far off Mary Krug’s pace was her Hornet teammate, Kimmy Dirmaier, who won second place in three events and third in the vault competition, and

Whereas, all the Essex gymnasts, including Lauren Braunegg, Casey Claude, Kimmy Dirmaier, Alli Greene, Hannah Isham, Katy Krug, Mary Krug, Courtney Lachaussie, Leanne LaPierre, Miranda LaPierre, Rebecca Lee, Samatha Long, Jenna Lorenzini, Courtney McMahon, Simone Mendes, Laura Ray, Katie Roberge and Lori Weischedel, deserve recognition for their athletic accomplishments, and

Whereas, coaches Kara Bissonnette, Emily Kilcoyne and Ashley Godin assisted these fine competitors to reach for the pinnacle of their sport, now therefore be it
