House concurrent resolution honoring Sandra Demasi Kingsley for her outstanding 32‑year career on the administrative staff at Norwich University

Whereas, Sandra (Sandy) Kingsley has rendered 32 years of exemplary service to Norwich University, first for four years as a general secretary and then for more than 28 years as secretary and office administrator in the university’s division of business and management, and

Whereas, she has been a source of inspiration and support for thousands of Norwich students and dozens of faculty members from her post in Dewey Hall, and

Whereas, her extraordinary efforts guided the division of business and management from the typewriter-and-carbon‑paper era into the world of faxes, computers, e-mail, cell phones, and text-messaging without ever losing the human touch which is so much in her nature, and

Whereas, Sandy is a lifelong resident of Northfield and Roxbury and is a respected and valued member of her community, and

Whereas, she is now retiring from the Norwich University staff to spend more time with her family, including her husband, Fred, her children, and, most especially, her beloved grandchildren, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly is pleased to join the faculty and staff of Norwich University in recognizing Sandra Kingsley for her outstanding career of dedicated service as a member of the university’s administrative staff, especially in the division of business and management, and extends best wishes to her for an enjoyable retirement, and be it further

Resolved:  That the secretary of state be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Sandra Kingsley at the division of business and management at Norwich University.
