Joint Concurrent House Resolution

House concurrent resolution congratulating Mayo HealthCare in Northfield

Offered by:  Representatives Donahue of Northfield and Grad of Moretown

Whereas, the quality of the services offered in Vermont’s nursing care facilities is of great importance for its residents and their families, and

Whereas, the department of disabilities, aging, and independent living has recently assessed nursing facilities across the state, and commissioner Patrick Flood has awarded special recognition to several that were judged to provide outstanding services to their residents, and

Whereas, the specific criteria that each honored facility was required to meet in order to be presented the department’s Quality of Care Award included excellent survey results, efficient operation, better-than-average resident satisfaction, and no substantial resident complaints, and

Whereas, one of the honored nursing facilities is Mayo HealthCare in Northfield which is proud to have fulfilled the stringent criteria required for winning this special recognition, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly congratulates Mayo HealthCare in Northfield on its winning a department of disabilities, aging, and independent living Quality of Care Award, and be it further

Resolved:  That the secretary of state be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Mayo HealthCare in Northfield.
