A moment of silence was observed in lieu of devotions.

Senate bills of the following titles were severally introduced, read the first time and referred:

An act relating to eliminating certain sunset provisions and extending the juvenile proceedings study committee.

To the Committee on Judiciary.

S. 58.

By Senators White, Ayer, Condos, Doyle, Illuzzi, Scott and Snelling,

An act relating to the restoration of a department of mental health and a commissioner of mental health.

To the Committee on Government Operations.

S. 59.

By Senator Sears,

An act relating to clarification of videotapes audiotapes, and digital versatile discs as public records.

To the Committee on Government Operations.

S. 60.

By Senators Sears, Hartwell, Illuzzi and McCormack,

An act relating to disclosure of cellular telephone signal coverage by cellular telephone service providers.

To the Committee on Judiciary.


Joint Resolution Adopted on the Part of the Senate

Joint Senate resolution of the following title was offered, read and adopted on the part of the Senate, and is as follows:

   By Senator Shumlin,

     J.R.S. 10.  Joint resolution relating to weekend adjournment.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That when the two Houses adjourn on Friday, January 26, 2007, it be to meet again no later than Tuesday, January 30, 2007.

Adjournment

On motion of Senator Shumlin, the Senate adjourned until eleven o’clock and thirty minutes in the morning.
