Statement of purpose:  This bill proposes to eliminate the sunset on allowing court-ordered forensic examinations of criminal defendants at designated hospitals.

AN ACT RELATING TO ELIMINATING CERTAIN SUNSETS ON FORENSIC EXAMINATIONS AT DESIGNATED HOSPITALS

It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1.  REPEAL OF SUNSET FOR FORENSIC EXAMINATIONS AT
 DESIGNATED HOSPITALS

     The following sections, related to the sunset for evaluations at designated hospitals, are repealed:

(1)  Sec. 113c of No. 71 of the Acts of 2005.

(2)  Sec. 124 of No. 215 of the Acts of the 2005 Adj. Sess. (2006).
