Subject: Department of state’s attorneys and sheriffs; budget; establishment of position
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to establish the position of forfeiture and immobilization paralegal within the department of state’s attorneys and sheriffs to replace a position previously funded by federal grants.
AN ACT RELATING TO THE CREATION OF A POSITION WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE’S ATTORNEYS AND SHERIFFS
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
DEPARTMENT OF STATE’S ATTORNEYS AND SHERIFFS;
CREATION OF POSITION
The general assembly authorizes the establishment of the following position in the department of state’s attorneys and sheriffs to replace a position previously funded by a federal grant: one (1) full-time, exempt paralegal. For fiscal year 2008, there is appropriated to the department from the general fund the sum of $51,068.00 for personal services and $6,500.00 for operating expenses in connection with this position.
