Statement of purpose:  This bill proposes to direct the agency of transportation to develop 55 miles per hour advisory speed limit signs for use on the interstate highways to reduce emissions.

AN ACT RELATING TO ADVISORY SPEED CONTROL SIGNS ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS

It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1.  ADVISORY SPEED CONTROL SIGNS ON INTERSTATE

             HIGHWAYS

The agency of transportation is directed to develop 55 miles per hour advisory speed limit signs for use on the Dwight D. Eisenhower national system of interstate and defense highways to reduce emissions.
