Subject: Appropriations; grants; hospices
Statement of purpose: This bill would appropriate the amount of $220,000.00 in fiscal year 2008 to the Hospice and Palliative Care Council of Vermont for the purpose of providing grants to individual hospices in the state.
AN ACT RELATING TO AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE GRANTS FOR THE SUPPORT OF HOSPICES IN THE STATE
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. APPROPRIATION; VERMONT HOSPICES
There is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2008 the amount of $220,000.00 to the hospice and palliative care council of Vermont for the purpose of providing grants to hospices in the state. The council may not award a grant to an individual hospice in an amount in excess of $20,000.00.
Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE
This act shall take effect from passage.
