Subject: Professions and occupations; architects; continuing education
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to require that the continuing education requirements of the Vermont board of architects are consistent with those of the American Institute of Architects.
AN ACT RELATING TO VERMONT BOARD OF ARCHITECT CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. 26 V.S.A. § 205a(c) is amended to read:
(c) In addition to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, an applicant for renewal shall have satisfactorily completed continuing education as required by the board. For purposes of this subsection, the board may require, by rule, not more than 24 hours of approved continuing education as a condition of renewal. Continuing education requirements adopted by the board shall be consistent with those of the American Institute of Architects.
