Subject: Alcoholic beverages; wine tastings; customers served
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to permit up to eight customers at a wine tasting to be served wine at the same time.
AN ACT RELATING TO INCREASING THE NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS AT A WINE TASTING EVENT
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. 7 V.S.A.§ 67(b)(1) is amended to read:
(b) A wine tasting event held pursuant to this section, not to include wine tasting events conducted on the premises of a manufacturer or rectifier or on the premises of a fourth class licensee pursuant to subdivision (a)(3) of this section or promotional tastings pursuant to subsection (d) of this section:
continue for no more than six hours in duration, with no more than six vinous
beverages to be offered at a single event, and no more than two ounces of any
single vinous beverage and no more than a total of eight ounces of various
vinous beverages to be dispensed to a customer. No more than
customers may be served at one time.
