Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to exempt motorboats used exclusively for racing from motorboat registration.
AN ACT RELATING TO EXEMPTING MOTORBOATS USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR RACING FROM MOTORBOAT REGISTRATION
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. 23 V.S.A. § 3305(a) is amended to read:
A Except for
motorboats used exclusively for racing as sanctioned by the commissioner of
motor vehicles under the provisions of section 3316 of this title, a person
shall not operate operating a motorboat on the public waters of
this state unless shall register the motorboat is registered
in accordance with this chapter.
