Subject: Motor vehicles; school bus idling
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to repeal No. 48 of the Acts of 2007, entitled An Act Relating to the Idling of Motor Vehicle Engines on School Property.
AN ACT RELATING TO THE REPEAL OF RESTRICTIONS ON THE IDLING OF SCHOOL BUS ENGINES AND OF VOLUNTARY PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE IDLING OF OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINES
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. REPEAL
The following are repealed:
(1) 23 V.S.A. § 1282(f) (restrictions on idling of school bus engines); and
(2) Sec. 2 of No. 48 of the Acts of 2007 (permission to restrict and a model policy regarding idling of the engines of other types of motor vehicles).
Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE
This act shall take effect from passage.
