Subject: Municipal government; town and village of Alburg; statutory changes of name
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to authorize the legislative council to change the spelling of the name of the town and village of Alburg to Alburgh wherever it appears in the Vermont Statutes Annotated.
AN ACT RELATING TO THE SPELLING OF THE NAME OF THE TOWN AND VILLAGE OF ALBURG
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. STATUTORY REVISION AUTHORITY
The legislative council, pursuant to section 424 of Title 2, is directed to change the spelling of the name of the town and village of Alburg to Alburgh wherever it appears in the Vermont Statutes Annotated, including chapter 204 of Title 24 Appendix, the village of Alburg charter, in accordance with the change of name order that the state board of libraries issued on April 18, 2006.
