Subject: Capital appropriation; Barre Town; flood control
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to appropriate $100,000.00 in capital funds to Barre Town to purchase property to prevent flooding from the Honey Brook.
AN ACT RELATING TO FLOOD CONTROL ALONG THE HONEY BROOK IN BARRE TOWN
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. APPROPRIATION; BARRE TOWN; FLOOD CONTROL
The amount of $100,000.00 is appropriated to Barre Town from funds raised by state general obligation bonding. The funds shall be used by the legislative body of Barre Town to purchase property adjacent to the Honey Brook for the purpose of managing the property for flood control.
