Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to repeal the statewide education property tax.
AN ACT RELATING TO REPEAL OF STATEWIDE EDUCATION PROPERTY TAX
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. REPEAL
Chapters 135 (education property tax) and 154 (homestead property tax income sensitivity adjustment) of Title 32 and chapter 133 (state funding of public education) of Title 16 are repealed, effective July 1, 2009.
