Statement of purpose:  This bill proposes to require the commissioner of the department of buildings and general services to provide free wireless internet access at those rest areas and welcome centers on interstate highways where available.

AN ACT RELATING TO PROVIDING WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS  AT REST AREAS AND WELCOME CENTERS ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS

It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1.  29 V.S.A. § 152(d) is added to read:

(d)  The commissioner shall provide wireless internet access at no cost at interstate highway rest areas and welcome centers where available.
