Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to ensure that Medicaid beneficiaries may receive medically necessary chiropractic services.
AN ACT RELATING TO CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES FOR MEDICAID BENEFICIARIES
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. CHIROPRACTIC COVERAGE UNDER MEDICAID AND VHAP
The agency of human services is directed to reinstate chiropractic coverage for adults in the Medicaid and VHAP programs effective September 1, 2007, consistent with section 4088a of Title 8 and at rates comparable to payments for care or services by other health care providers.
