NO. R-314. House concurrent resolution honoring Carolyn Wells for her outstanding public service in the town of Worcester.

Whereas, the citizens of Worcester have a deep admiration for and great trust in Carolyn (Lindy) Wells and her work as the guardian of the town’s records and finances, and
Whereas, for the past two decades, she has served ably as the town clerk in this rural Washington County community, and
Whereas, for 18 years, Lindy Wells has also been responsible for the town’s finances in her role as the Worcester town treasurer, and
Whereas, her analytical skills were also put to good use during the
seven-year period she served as a town lister, and
Whereas, in each of these positions, Lindy Wells has distinguished herself as an individual of great competence and integrity, and
Whereas, after many years of laudable public service, Lindy Wells will be retiring from the Worcester town government on Town Meeting Day 2008, now therefore be it
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That the General Assembly honors Carolyn Wells for her outstanding public service in the town of Worcester and wishes her the best in her future endeavors, and be it further
Resolved: That the secretary of state be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Carolyn Wells in Worcester.
