NO. M-12. AN ACT RELATING TO ESTABLISHING THE TOWN LINE BETWEEN BURKE AND KIRBY.
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. TOWN LINES; TOWNS OF BURKE AND KIRBY;
(a) The general assembly finds that it may establish town lines under Chapter II, § 6 of the Constitution of the State of Vermont.
(b) The towns of Burke and Kirby, by and through their respective selectboards, have petitioned the general assembly to determine the boundary line between these two towns as set forth in their joint petition to the general assembly, dated February 5, 2007.
(c) By this act, the general assembly establishes the boundary line between the towns of Burke and Kirby as set forth in their joint petition to the general assembly, as depicted on a certain survey entitled “A Plan of the Town Line Between the Towns of Burke and Kirby, Vermont,” conducted by Lawrence S. Tighe, North Country Environmental & Forestry, dated January 29, 2007.
Sec. 2. APPLICATION
Upon passage of this act, the selectboards of the towns of Burke and Kirby shall comply with the provisions of subsection 1461(c) of Title 24.
Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This act shall take effect upon passage.
