ACT NO. 114
Identification; tobacco licenses
This act clarifies acceptable forms of identification for purchasing alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to reflect the changes in other forms of identification.
This act also changes the issuer of a tobacco license from the municipality to the department of liquor control, although the application is to be made through the municipality which will forward the tobacco license application to the department of liquor control for issuance of the license.
Finally, the act prohibits an individual under the age of 16 years to sell tobacco products.
Effective Date: July 1, 2008.
