House concurrent resolution congratulating Celie Dagesse on her designation as the 2005 Miss Junior Vermont Teen

Offered by:  Representatives Shaw of Derby and Dowland of Holland

Offered by:  Senator Illuzzi of Essex-Orleans District and Senator Starr of Essex-Orleans District

Whereas, Celie Dagesse is a ninth grader at North Country High School in Newport, and

Whereas, she is an excellent student and participates in many extracurricular activities in her school and community, and

Whereas, Celie enjoys athletics and is artistically inclined, and

Whereas, because of her initiative and dedicated effort, she has been named the winner of the 2005 Miss Junior Vermont Teen contest, and

Whereas, this impressive accomplishment reflects on Celie’s commitment to achieving her personal goals, and

Whereas, as the winner of the Miss Junior Vermont Teen title, she was awarded a four-year scholarship to Green Mountain College, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives

That the General Assembly congratulates Celie Dagesse of Derby on her winning the 2005 Miss Junior Vermont Teen Contest and wishes her every success in her future academic endeavors, and be it further

Resolved:  That the secretary of state be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Celie Dagesse.
