Statement of purpose:  This bill proposes to prohibit the use of the status of an individual as an elected official in underwriting insurance.

AN ACT RELATING TO THE USE OF THE STATUS OF AN INDIVIDUAL AS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL IN UNDERWRITING INSURANCE

It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1.  8 V.S.A. § 4724(7)(F) is added to read:

(F)  Using the status of an individual as an elected official in the underwriting process or in the determination of insurability.
