Subject: Conservation; wastewater system; municipal delegation
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to address municipalities that have been delegated the authority to administer the wastewater chapter. It allows those municipalities to allow sewerage connections to take place without being subject to provisions of the law requiring a statement from an installer or licensed designer.
AN ACT RELATING TO MUNICIPALITIES DELEGATED THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE WASTEWATER CHAPTER AND THEIR OPTIONS FOR ALLOWING SEWERAGE CONNECTIONS
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. 10 V.S.A. § 1976(g) is added to read:
(g) If a municipality receives delegation under this section, it may establish a process for allowing sewerage connections to take place without regard to the provisions of subsection 1973(e) of this title requiring a statement from an installer or licensed designer.
