Subject: Transportation; federal transit appropriation; Disabled American Veterans; White River Junction transportation network
Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to appropriate the amount of $100,000.00 from the annual federal grant to the state of Vermont, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. §§ 5310-5311, to the Disabled American Veterans’ transportation network that services the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital at White River Junction.
AN ACT RELATING TO A VETERANS TRANSIT NETWORK APPROPRIATION
It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
Sec. 1. VETERANS TRANSIT NETWORK; APPROPRIATION
The amount of $100,000.00 is appropriated from the annual federal grant to the state of Vermont for public transit purposes under 49 U.S.C. §§ 5310-5311 to the Disabled American Veterans for the purpose of operating its transit network which provides transportation services to and from the Veterans’ Hospital in White River Junction for veterans and their dependents.
