ACT NO. 202
Executive branch fees
This act adjusts certain executive branch fees, specifically certain fees charged by the Department of Liquor Control, the Department of Education, the Department of Taxes, Town Clerks for vital records, the Secretary of State for professional regulation of architects, chiropractors, professional engineers, nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, osteopaths, veterinarians, land surveyors, real estate appraisers, clinical mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psychotherapists, and the Judicial Bureau or a Vermont Court for additional fees for certain violations, the proceeds from which fund the victims' compensation special fund and the criminal justice training council special fund.
The act retains the 0.4 percent workers' compensation rate of contribution to fund partially the administration of the workers' compensation program. Lastly, this act sets specific criteria to be used to justify future fee adjustments.
Effective Date: July 1, 2006, except for fees charged by the Department of Education which take effect on July 1, 2007.
