ACT NO. 107


Education; home study programs

This act clarifies items which constitute an assessment for a student in a home study program, directs the commissioner of education to approve at least four tests which may be used for the assessment; establishes that a child who is enrolled in a home study program and who is 13 years of age or older may choose not to study in all areas of the minimum course of study and may instead choose other subject areas; and stipulates that a home study program which has successfully completed two years of study is not required to submit a detailed content outline except when a child is 12 years old at the time an enrollment notice is submitted.
