NO. 83.  AN ACT RELATING TO MEMORIAL DAY.

It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1.  1 V.S.A. § 371(a) is amended to read:

(a)  The following shall be legal holidays:

New Year’s Day, January 1;

Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday, the third Monday in January;

Lincoln’s Birthday, February 12;

Washington’s Birthday, the third Monday in February;

Town meeting day, the first Tuesday in March;

Memorial Day, May 30 the last Monday in May;

Independence Day, July 4;

Bennington Battle Day, August 16;

Labor Day, the first Monday in September;

Columbus Day, the second Monday in October;

Veterans’ Day, November 11;

Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November;

Christmas Day, December 25.
