Bill Referred to Committee on Finance
S. 55.
Senate Committee bill of the following title, appearing on the Calendar for notice, and affecting the revenue of the state, under the rule was referred to the Committee on Finance:
An act relating to increasing the minimum wage and other economic stimuli for low income taxpayers and bottle return businesses.
Election of Senate Members to Judicial Nominating Board
The President announced that the next order of business was the election of three members of the Senate to serve on the Judicial Nominating Board pursuant to 4 V.S.A. §601.
Senator Mazza, on behalf of the Committee on Committees, placed in nomination the names of the following Senators to serve on the Board:
SARA BRANON KITTELL
of Franklin District, as the majority party member of the Board.
PHILIP B. SCOTT
of Washington District, as the minority party member of the Board.
PETER F. WELCH
of Windsor District, as the third member of the Board.
There being no further nominations, on motion of Senator Mazza, the nominations were closed, and the Secretary was instructed to cast one ballot for

of Franklin District, as the majority party member of the Board, for a term of two years or until her successor is elected and has qualified.
PHILIP B. SCOTT
of Washington District, as the minority party member of the Board, for a term of two years or until his successor is elected and has qualified.

of Windsor District, as the third member of the Board, for a term of two years or until his successor is elected and has qualified.
Rules Suspended; Committee Relieved of Further Consideration; Bill Committed
S. 52.
On motion of Senator Welch, the rules were suspended, and S. 52 was taken up for immediate consideration, for the purpose of relieving the Committee on Finance from further consideration of the bill. Thereupon, on motion of Senator Welch, the Committee on Finance was relieved of Senate bill entitled:
An act relating to renewable energy portfolio standards, appliance efficiency standards, distributed electricity, and a customer petition for independent status,
and the bill was committed to the Committee on Natural Resources and Energy.
