House Resolution Referred to Committee

H.R. 13

Reps. Fisher of Lincoln, Hummel of Underhill, McCullough of Williston and Tracy of Burlington offered a House resolution, entitled

House resolution in opposition to the pending United States military action in Iraq;

Whereas, while we fully support our troops in the Persian Gulf and are concerned for their welfare and their safe and speedy return, we cannot support the foreign policy which serves as the basis for this military action, now therefore be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives opposes a military action in Iraq at this time and under these circumstances, and be it further

Resolved:  That the Clerk of the House be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the President of the United States and to the members of the Vermont Congressional Delegation.

Which was read and referred to the committee on General, Housing and Military Affairs.
