Whereas, the Burlington Police Department is the largest municipal public safety organization in Vermont, and
Whereas, the Burlington Police Department is proud of its role as the guardian of the Queen Cityís citizens, and
Whereas, the city of Burlington takes great pride in the high caliber of its police department, and
Whereas, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies only accredits law enforcement agencies that meet its very stringent professional requirements, now therefore be it
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That the General Assembly congratulates the Burlington Police Department on the departmentís receipt of re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, and be it further
Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Burlington Police Chief Alana Ennis.
