NO. R-30. JOINT RESOLUTION in memory of Margaret M. Dandeneau.

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau spent much of her life in Rhode Island, graduating from Bayview Academy and Johnson and Wales College and raising a family before ultimately moving to Vermont, and

Whereas, upon arriving in the Green Mountain state, she assumed a position as an administrative assistant in the town of Hartford at the department of planning and development services, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau performed a wide range of duties including aiding applicants with the often-complex permitting process, helping attorneys and appraisers research files, and worked on various enforcement and litigation-related projects, and

Whereas, for many years, she assumed responsibility for publishing the annual Hartford Town Report, one of the most important documents for any municipal government, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau served as the acting zoning administrative officer for the town and acted on the officeís behalf in the absence of the administrator, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau was known as a conscientious and thoughtful individual who could be relied upon to perform her work duties using the highest possible standards, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau was an active and dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock where she joyfully sang in her congregationís choir, and enthusiastically served as an eucharistic minister, and

Whereas, her vibrant personality and deep concern for the interests of others was readily apparent, and

Whereas, she tragically died in an automobile accident on Route 4 in Hartford, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneauís many friends and colleagues were deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected passing, and

Whereas, Margaret M. Dandeneau was the loving wife of Roger E. Dandeneau and with whom she had five children, John (Jay), Mary, Steven, Kenneth and Suzanne and five wonderful grandchildren, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly extends its sincere sympathies to the family of Margaret M. Dandeneau, and be it further

Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Roger M. Dandeneau in Quechee, and to the office of the Hartford Town Clerk.
