ACT NO. 50

(H.198)

Commerce and trade; apprenticeship program; employer fees

This act removes the ceiling on fees that may be charged to employers for apprenticeship training programs for their employees, and prohibits employers from billing this charge back to their employees in any way. The act also requires the Commissioner of Employment and Training to file a brief report to the House Committees on Commerce and on Ways and Means and the Senate Committees on General Affairs and Housing and on Finance, providing an accounting of the fees charged, revenues received and costs of the apprenticeship program.
