Vinous Beverages; Wine Tasting Permit

This act creates a permit allowing a manufacturer or rectifier of vinous beverages to conduct a wine tasting on the premises of and at the request of a second class licensee or at a farmers’ market. The manufacturer or rectifier may distribute two ounces of each wine and not more than a total of six ounces of various Vermont-made wines, to any one customer of legal age. The permit also requires that the event be conducted within an area of 10 feet from the point of service, and that no more than four customers are served at any one time. There is a $15.00 fee for the permit, only one wine tasting per day is permitted on the premises of any second class licensee and a manufacturer may only conduct four wine tastings per month.

Effective Date: July 1, 2001 and terminates July 1, 2003
