Early Voter Absentee Ballots

This act amends the laws pertaining to absentee voting. Specifically, by changing the term “absentee voting” to “early or absentee voting,” it clarifies that any voter, for any reason, can vote by absentee ballot. It also allows a health care provider to apply for a ballot on behalf of a voter, removes the requirement that a list of early or absentee voters must be posted in the town clerk’s office, permits a voter to pick up a complete set of ballots at the town clerk’s office and return them at a later date by mail or in person, and allows early or absentee voters who spoil ballots to receive additional ballots.
