NO. R-233. JOINT RESOLUTION HONORING THE GREEN MOUNTAIN COUNCIL EAGLE SCOUT CLASS OF 1999.

Whereas, scouting provides a special opportunity for young boys to develop important life skills that will enable them to be productive citizens in their communities, and
Whereas, during February, the Green Mountain Council, along with over 300 other local scouting councils nationwide, is observing the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Boy Scouts of America (B.S.A.), and
Whereas, in celebration of this special occasion, and their own personal achievements, the 62 members of the 1999 Eagle Class of the Green Mountain Council B.S.A. have been invited to gather at the State House on February 11 for special recognition, now therefore be it
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That the General Assembly congratulates the members of the 1999 Green Mountain Council Eagle Class as they, and their fellow scouts, observe the 90th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, and be it further
Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Green Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America in Waterbury.
