NO. R-185. JOINT RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING JOHN ENOLA ON 40 YEARS AS AN OUTSTANDING FACULTY MEMBER OF THE AUSTINE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING.

Offered by: Representatives Costello of Brattleboro, Bristol of Brattleboro and Milkey of Brattleboro.

Whereas, the Austine School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides a nurturing and unique environment where students can excel academically, and

Whereas, a central reason for the school's success is the outstanding faculty who patiently and expertly guide students toward achieving their optimum academic potential, and

Whereas, one of the most respected members of the faculty is John Enola, and

Whereas, John Enola has served the Austine School for 40 years as a multitalented faculty member, teaching science and social studies, serving as school librarian, timing basketball games, transporting students as a school bus driver, and acting as the coordinator in the northeastern United States for the Captioned Films for the Deaf program, and

Whereas, his service to the Austine School and its students has been of the highest order, and

Whereas, numerous deaf students from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts have directly benefited from John's many contributions as a teacher and librarian, and

Whereas, the lives of staff and faculty at the Austine School have been greatly enriched by his warm, friendly and generous nature, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly congratulates John Enola on the 40th anniversary of his tenure as a wonderful and dedicated Austine School faculty member, and be it further

Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to John Enola at the Austine School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Brattleboro.
