ACT NO. 74
State Board of Education; Student Member
This act increases the membership of the State Board of Education from seven to ten. Of the three new members, two will be students. Each student will be appointed by the Governor for a two-year term and shall be a non-voting member for the first year and a full voting member in the second year. The student terms will be staggered so that at any time, the board consists of nine voting members and one non-voting member.
