ACT NO. 45
This act permits the chief medical examiner to appoint: 1) regional medical examiners who hold a license in medicine or osteopathy in Vermont or another state; 2) assistant medical examiners who have extensive experience in the medical profession as deemed appropriate and relevant by the chief medical examiner. An assistant medical examiner must meet training and certification requirements established by the chief medical examiner and approved by the Health Commissioner.
