NO. R-94. JOINT RESOLUTION HONORING NINETTE PEPIN ON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL STAFF.

Whereas, Ninette Pepin grew up in the shadows of the Green Mountains, and

Whereas, she crossed Lake Champlain to assume a position at the New York State Department of Banking, and

Whereas, after residing for many years in New York State, her native Vermont finally beckoned her to return home, and

Whereas, upon resuming her residence in Vermont, she embarked on a new career as a most valuable committee assistant at the Legislative Council, and

Whereas, her dedication to her duties was greatly appreciated by many fortunate legislators, particularly the dozens of members of the Senate Committee on Finance, of which she was sometimes referred to as the eighth member, for whom she has worked tirelessly during her tenure as a committee assistant, and

Whereas, after 14 years of exemplary service, Ninette is retiring from her position at the Legislative Council, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly expresses its sincere appreciation for the outstanding work that Ninette Pepin has performed on behalf of the Legislature, and be it further

Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Ninette Pepin.
