ACT NO. 158


Home Brewing; Liquor Identification

This act permits Vermonters to produce wine and beer at home provided it is produced for personal consumption and not for resale, and it also permits home manufacturers of wine and beer to hold tasting events.

The act also permits a licensed manufacturer or rectifier of wine to deliver up to 2,000 gallons of Vermont-produced wine on invoice directly to second class licensees for an annual fee of $200.00.

Lastly, the act includes valid photographic drivers licenses and nondriver identification cards issued by another state or country to be acceptable proof of age for purchasing alcoholic beverages in Vermont.

Effective Date: July 1, 1998
