ACT NO. 123

Molder's Lien

This act allows molders to place a lien upon their customer's molds, dies, or other similar patterns in the possession of the molder for the balance due them from any engineering, fabrication, or molding done by the molder. The lien attaches and becomes perfected 30 days after payments become due. This lien does not take priority over an existing perfected security interest. A court may allow a bond or similar security to be substituted for release of the lien.

Effective Date: July 1, 1998
