Deer; Tree Stands; Nuisance Deer; Permanent License;

Possession of a Live Animal

This act limits applications for an antlerless deer permit to one per person; authorizes the Fish and Wildlife Board to establish a special deer management zone for control of nuisance deer; limits deer that may be taken by the holder of a second archery license to antlerless deer; lengthens the hunting day to one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise; disallows taking of a wild animal within 10 feet of a highway; requires permission of the landowner for erecting or using a tree stand or ground blind; eliminates nuisance deer damage to shrubbery from the list of damages which will be reimbursed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife; establishes a $5.00 fee for replacement of a lost permanent license; and makes it illegal to possess a live wild animal without a permit from the Commissioner of Fish and Wildlife.
