Hi Theresa,

Last night during the pre-k hearing, Rep. Kilmartin asked me to email the

source of the statistics I used in the piece I read. 

It is a brochure and presentation that the Child Care Fund of Vermont and

the Vermont Community Foundation.

They indicate that "50% of Vermont's Kindergarteners were considered not

ready for school in 2002-2003 and 25% were not reading at grade level in

fourth grade.

I was also asked to provide additional budget and annual report information

about The Evergreen Preschool in Vergennes. I am putting that information

together and will send a hard copy.
