NO. R-127.† House concurrent resolution honoring Timothy Arsenault (Johnson) of Vernon.

Whereas, in 1973, Tim Arsenault, popularly known as Tim Johnson, discovered his professional destiny at the early age of 17 when he took to the airwaves as a part-time disc jockey at radio station WKVT in Brattleboro, and

Whereas, at the ripe old age of 18, he became a full-time staff member at the station, working regularly as a disc jockey and as a fill-in newsperson, and

Whereas, in 1981, his career took him northward as he assumed the news directorís position at radio station WCFR in Springfield, and

Whereas, in 1985, Tim returned to his original professional home as the news director for WKVT, where he remained until 1997, and

Whereas, since 1997, he has served as news director at WTSA in Brattleboro, and

Whereas, Tim Johnsonís informative local newscasts represent only a narrow slice of his life in Windham County, and

Whereas, he is active in Vernonís civic affairs, serving as both town and school moderator, and in the same capacity for the Brattleboro Union High School district, and

Whereas, he is also a justice of the peace and a member of Vernonís board of civil authority, and

Whereas, on the county level, he sits on the Windham County Regional Planning Commission, and

Whereas, his talents have been put to good use as a member of the boards of directors for several organizations, such as the Winston Prouty Center, BCTV, and the United Way, and

Whereas, Tim Arsenault is a member of the Vernon Advent Christian Church Choir and is a great husband, father, and grandfather, and

Whereas, his good deeds are apparent in so many aspects of life in southern Windham County, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the General Assembly is pleased to honor Tim (Johnson) Arsenault for his many community service activities, and be it further

Resolved:† That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Tim Arsenault in Vernon.
