ACT NO. 12
Education; Bidding Process; Renewal Procedure
This act increases the minimum cost for which a school board must publicly solicit at least three bids from $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 and clarifies items for which the board must solicit the bids; allows a school district to renew a contract for purchase of services without rebidding the project; and removes the three-year restriction on the length of contracts for transportation services.
Effective Date: July 1, 2003
