Whereas, James W. Densmore has dedicated over thirty-five years to Vermont law enforcement as an officer with the Rutland City Police Department and as an instructor and trainer at the Vermont Police Academy, and

Whereas, Jim Densmore continues to be active as a volunteer at the Vermont Police Academy, always available to help when the need arises, and

Whereas, in recognition of his many years of service and leadership to Vermont law enforcement, the State of Vermont would like to recognize Jim’s supreme efforts by dedicating the newly-constructed firing range in his name, now therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:

That the members of the General Assembly dedicate the Firing Range at the Vermont Fire and Police Training Center in Pittsford, Vermont as the James W. Densmore Firing Range, and be it further

Resolved: That the Secretary of State is directed to forward copies of this resolution to Jim Densmore and to the Vermont Police Academy in Pittsford.
